Team led by Kevin Volpp wins BMJ Getting Research into Practice Award, 04/09/2010

The team led by CHERP Core Investigator Kevin Volpp, MD, PhD won the BMJ Award for Getting Research into Practice for creating a partnership with The General Electric Corporation to test financial incentives to help smokers quit and convincing the company to implement this approach for all its 152,000 US employees this year. More than 200 projects were nominated for this award.

In addition, their article on the study was one of four finalists for Research Paper of the Year, out of 700 nominations.
